(i) Natural prodcuts and study of their Pharmacological activities and

Prof. Dr. Md. Saiful Islam is supervising two doctoral students and their research title aret(i)Clinical Investigation of Trace Elements, Immunoglobulins Antioxidants and
Neurotransmitters in Patients suffering from panic disorder and (ii)Pharmacokinetic and Clinical evaluation of beta-lactam and quinolone antibacterials used in Bangladesh.

Prof. Dr. Abul Hasnat has a good laboratory on doing research on Pharmacogenetics on
Bangladeshi population. He is also engaged in research in Pharmacokinetic,Bioeqivalence and Drug-drug interaction with collaboration with BIRDEM, BSMMU DMCH

Dr. S.M. Abdur Rahman's research project are:New drug development, synthetic organic
chemistry, Natural product chemistry, synthesis of Active PharmaceuticalIngredients (APIs). He published a number of research papers in the Journal of American Chemical Society (JACS), Angew, Chem. Int. Ed., Chemical Communicaltions,Organic Letters, Journal of Organic Chemistry etc. Recently, he was awarded UGC-JSPS bilateral projects FY 2009. Under this project, he is conducting researchcollaboration with Osaka University of Japan. For fruitful collaboration,
Japanese scientists are visiting Dhaka and he is also visiting Osaka.
